The legacy Root Coding app was restricted to iOS devices only and retired in 2020.
With the iRobot Coding app, we’ve taken the elements that users love from our legacy Root Coding App and combined them with even more features designed to provide an enhanced coding experience! Now users can:
- Use it across even more devices: The iRobot Coding App is available on iOS, Android, Windows, Chrome, and macOS.
- Share projects with a single code: The iRobot Coding app allows users to upload projects to the cloud, then share them with other users using a simple five-digit code.
- The arc block: The iRobot Coding introduces a new arc block that makes it easier to draw circles and curves.
- The repeat block: The iRobot Coding introduces the Repeat Block in Learning Level 1. This allows users to make their projects flexible, shorter, and even more fun by creating a loop of code that runs over and over.
- Multitasking: The iRobot Coding introduces multitasking. This allows users to write programs that activate blocks (such as driving, flashing lights, and playing music) all at the same time!
